It's Important to Be Aware!!

here is the email that was sent to the 4th ward - I figure hey, why re-invent the wheel - we'll just pass theirs along!!

"Dear Neighbors

We wanted to make sure you were all aware of the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl on Monday at the intersection of Old English Rd and Lone Rock (near Willow Springs Elementary).  Click HERE to read the story as reported by KSL or HERE to read the story as reported by KUTV.

With summer here and kids out playing, it is a good time to talk to our children about being aware of their surroundings and how to stay safe.

Special Purchase on a Food Storage Item:

Ann R. forwarded this info along:

Super Special!!!

First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil  $16/can
A Very Important Nutrient and Vital Storage Commodity
One Gallon (3.785 L)
Metal Cans with Pop Up Pour Spout
Square Cans for Compact Storage
6 Cans per Case
Imported from Italy
No Preservatives
No Additives
Cholesterol Free
This quality olive oil is excellent for storage. Because it is First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it has the best healthy profile of nutrients and essential fatty acids important for good health. Learn more "The Healthy Fat".
This is a naturally mild tasting olive oil that does not have a strong olive oil flavor, so it is very compatible with most other foods and recipes. It is not to be confused with "Extra Light" olive oil, which is refined to remove most of the olive oil taste, however, the refining also removes numerous nutrients and shortens shelf life
The most economical way of buying olive oil for storage is in metal tins. There are several approaches for storing olive oil long-term in order to have quality oil years into the future. Compared to other oils and other grades of olive oil, First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil will store longer and retain its nutrient profile better than nearly every other oil (provided it is stored properly). Learn more "The Healthy Fat".
When comparing prices be sure that you are comparing "apples to apples." There is a big difference between the First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil and other olive oils that may carry the labels of:
  • Olive Oil,
  • Pure Olive Oil,
  • 100% Olive Oil,
  • Virgin Olive Oil,
  • Olive-Pomace Oil,
  • 100% Pure Olive Oil,
  • Ordinary Virgin Olive Oil,
  • Refined Olive-Pomace Oil,
  • Any oil that does not say, "First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin".
Each of these oils is of lesser quality than First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is the highest grade of olive oil recognized by the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC). Learn more "The Healthy Fat".
Since this is a limited quantity offer, I will not be doing a group purchase as it takes too long to gather orders.  So if you are interested, please purchase this on your own.  Sales starts today--Saturday June 19th.

Call 801-836-2098 before you go to make sure they have oil. Oil can be picked up at Safe Harbor Alliance Outlet, which is upstairs at PARLEY’S HARDWARE, 260 South 1200 West, Orem (the business immediately south of Trafalga on the east side of Interstate 15, Exit 271.) • You must consider reliability and storability of each without compromising on the hazards and safety of each while storing them and using them.
    • During times of stress and when you are having to live a totally unfamiliar lifestyle, inexperience and ignorance of how to use any appliance that uses fuel can be extremely hazardous and can turn deadly in a moment.

Seminary Graduation

For all those concerned - and all who might just want to know:

Seminary Graduation
Sunday, June 6

A Special Fast

Our dear Sister, Sam Gilbert is going through a very tough time right now.  We would like to invite all who are interested to join in fasting for her this upcoming Sunday (which is Fast Sunday).

Sam is in the midst of a very serious court battle to retain custody of her children.  She could use our good thoughts and prayers, and she could also use one more thing.  If you feel that you could write a letter of character reference in regards to Sam, and in particular her interaction with her children it would be greatly appreciated.  These letters do not need to be long, but can make a huge impact in her case.  If you are able to write a letter, please just bring it with you to church on Sunday.  (Letters can be given to Ann Stone or Tami Cutler if you are unable to get it to Sam herself.)

Please bring your scissors and your friendship. Both will be used in abundance!

If there are any questions, please call Judy Richins, Trudy Nielsen or Nancee Arnovick.
