"Share the Warmth"

The Stake Relief Society has asked us to take part in a project called "Share the Warmth." We've been invited to gather usable shoes, coats, scarves, hats and gloves to give to refugees coming from tropical climates who won't be prepared for the winters here. The culmination of this project will be Sat., Sept. 26. We will take all donations to the church where we will enjoy a light dinner and then view the General Relief Society Broadcast together.

The Book of Mormon Pageant

Just a fun opportunity for a family activity....
There is a Book of Mormon Pageant on Aug. 14 & 15 at 8:30 pm up at the Suncrest meetinghouse. The address is 14977 Roundtree Lane. It is an inspiring celebration in music and drama, set against a backdrop of stars and mountains. The addmission is FREE! Sounds like a beautiful night for the family!

Let's Make Salsa!!

With our gardens starting to produce, it's time we learn what to do with all these veggies! We will be having a "Salsa Sampler" on Aug. 20th at 7:00 pm at the home of Judy Richins. Please bring your favorite fresh salsa (if you have one), along with copies of the recipe to share. We will sample all the fresh stuff, and we will also discuss bottling salsa and schedule a time for those interested to do a bottling class with Judy. More than anything, come eat chips and salsa and chat with your neighbors. A great way to finish off the summer! (This is being held in place of August's Girls Night Out - so don't miss this opportunity to mix-n-mingle!)

Temple Tips.........

* There will no longer be 6am endowment or initiatory sessions in the Draper Temple. The first sessions will begin at 7am. Baptism schedules remain the same.

* Please wear your Sunday best when attending the temple.

* When participating in baptisms at the temple, please refrain from wearing bronzing creams, temporary hair coloring, or other products which could wash off. These products create staining. Would you also pass this information on to your youth? Thank you!
