Terrific Tuesday Updates!!

Hello all!

After looking through all the signups we have decided to make just a few little changes to the scheduling of our Terrific Tuesday night - hopefully this will be something that will make the night run smoother and be more enjoyable for everyone :)

First, the Photo Editing class has been cancelled for TT, and will be re-scheduled on its own special night, SOON. 

Second, the "craft" classes will be taught from 4-4:30pm and from 5:30-6:30pm, in order to allow the teachers of these classes to attend other classes as well.  The teachers will be around for the majority of the event (remember, from 4-9pm), but they may be involved in teaching or attending another class at the other times, so you would be well advised to show up at least to get started on your projects during one of these 2 times. 
These classes are: 
* burlap wreaths
* temple blocks
* fabric covered magnet boards
* fabric covered scriptures
*yoyo bookmarks



The other scheduled classes are as follows:
4:30-5:30 Cinnamon Rolls
6:00-6:30 Gift Boxes
6:30 - Emergency Trunk Kits *** notice that this is a time change (it will be fast, no worries!)
6:30 - Dinner (EVERYONE should join us for this delicious event!)
7:00-8:00 EYB "Eat Your Basement"
8:00-9:00 Crepes

We will also have a project (most likely some quilts) set up by the Humanitarian Committee that we would love to have any and all help with between your regularly scheduled classes - this is a great way to participate if you haven't signed up for any classes but would like to join us for a wonderful evening of visiting and of course enjoying the delicious dinner!!

Dinner will be served at 6:30pm

(If you are bringing food, please have it there around 6:00....thanks!)

Please take a look at what you have signed up for,

and plan your time accordingly......

particularly if you signed up for a project that will need "Dry Time" - 

be sure to plan for that, come early, you'll be glad you did!!

Terrific Tuesday 2010!!

Yep - it's That Time of the Year again!  Aren't you excited?!?  We are!  Here are the classes that we are offering this year - we really hope you will plan on joining us!!

Remember - 
FINAL DAY to SIGNUP is NEXT SUNDAY (9/19)

Santa Towel - $5 (2 hrs)

Fabric Flowers - $3/ea (30 min)

Painted Monograms - $14 (1 hr)
(there will be an assortment of basic paint colors available,
if you think you might need something specific,
you might want to bring that with you)

Jute Monogram - $18 (1.5 hrs)

Menu Dry-Erase Board - $10 - (30 min)

(There will be an assortment of different papers for you to choose from)

(Due to a problem obtaining enough 12x12 frames, we will now be 

doing 11x14 frames...and hey - they're even cuter!!  They will 

use 2 coordinating papers, and will have a ribbon accent. 

There are a few 12x12's if you prefer those.)

Mini-Card Class - $8 (1 hr)

you will make 18 cards, envelopes are included!

(there will be an assortment of different papers to choose from)

Proverb Blocks - $4/ea (30 min)

you may choose your own proverb saying - but notice that there IS

a limited amount of space - if you have any questions, or need help

with your wording, call Adele!

Holiday Word Blocks - $15/set (1 hr)

** paper WILL vary!

(Note:  this project needs drying time in the middle of making it - 

so it would be best if you start on it first, then go to 

one of your other classes, or dinner, then come back to finish...

PLEASE do NOT leave this project until last!)

Christmas Countdown - $12 (1 hr)

Flying Witch - $16 (1 hr)

House Rules - $25 (1 hr)

** for this project you will need to bring THREE colors of paint,

and some matching ribbon, 3-5 pieces, 15" long **

Turkey - $18 (1hr)

Witchy Poo - $24 (1.5 hrs)

3 trees - $12 (1 hr)

(tallest is around 16-18")

Cake Pops - $1 (1 hr class)

** This class will be taught at 5:30pm **

(this is a demonstration class, and then you will make one or two pops

to get the feel of it)

Fortune Cookies - $1 (1 hr class)

** This class will be taught at 7:00pm **

(this is a demonstration class where you will make 1-2 cookies

for a hands-on experience)

AND :)

If that isn't enough - we will also have a

Humanitarian Project

going on that we would LOVE some help with!

AND.....

last but not least, we will be having a

Delicious Dinner!!

Hope you are all looking forward to our annual Fall activity....Terrific Tuesday! You may have noticed the display table at church, but we are bringing it to you on the blog also! Please take a minute to look over the crafts available, and then sign up through Jeanette Pixton. There are sign-up sheets at the church (pink paper), or feel free to just give me a call at (801) 619-7099. Also, if you would be willing to bring a soup that night, let me know ASAP.

We also have a special item available to those interested.....Tami Cutler is able to get the same chandelier crystals that are in the Celestial Room at the Draper Temple. We have the opportunity to order those. You can turn it into a necklace, or just have it as a neat little momento of our beautiful temple. We need to know by Sunday, Sept. 13th if you want to order them. They are $6.00/each.

We will also be offering some fun classes.....Easy Everyday Bread, taught by Marsha Neeley, and Fabulous Fudge, taught by Melody Rasmussen. The cost is $1 for the bread class and $2 for the fudge class. Sign-up is available at the church or by calling Jeanette Pixton.

We need all orders and money by Sept. 20th!! We will only order if you have paid your money, so please don't forget! We look forward to a fun Fall evening with our wonderful sisters! And if you don't want to craft, come anyway and enjoy the good food and great company! Hope to see you all there!
