a Call to Prayer & Fasting...

This week has been a tough one for a few families so we are asking for your combined fasting and prayer this Fast Sunday.  Last Tuesday, Fred Gonzales (the 16 year old) was hit by a car then dragged about 200 feet.  He is still in the hospital but not in intensive care, thank goodness.  He has a broken femur and places on his feet and knee that were scraped to the bone.  He is really lucky to have survived the accident but it will take him a while to recover completely.  The word we get is that he will be in the hospital for a little while longer and after that he will be in a wheelchair.  Thank you to those of you who have already done meals, visits and offered countless prayers for him and the Gonzales family, all those things make a difference.

Rick Jensen is still in the hospital battling with what looks like tuberculosis caused by the chemotherapy treatments.  It is extremely rare to have this kind of effect but he is really sick and they are having a hard time finding out what is really happening.  We need your goodness to wrap your arms around the Jensens and let them know just how much we love them.  Hospitals are getting to be way too common for Rick!

Now is the time for us to unite.  There is power in faith filled numbers.  They will feel the difference we can make together.  Thank you!!!

Wedded Bliss........

Just a little FYI from Linda Miller:

"Would you mind letting the sisters know Jonathan & Stephanie Miller's reception will
move from our back yard to the church building next to the Draper temple if it rains.
Hopefully we won't have to move up there, but just in case, we would like to let
everyone know - Saturday, July 10th 6-8pm.

Thank you.

Linda Miller

P.S. I hope everyone received their invitation.  We look forward to seeing you."

No Names....But News!!

According to Anna:

"We have already failed the first step of parenting...taking babies home without naming them. But born July 6, after 14 hours of labor, boy at 7:20 weighing 6 lbs 7 oz. Baby girl at 7:33 am weighing 7 lbs 4 oz. No preemies here. In case you were keeping track that's nearly 14 lbs of baby. All healthy and happy. Thanks for well wishes!"

 and from Tami:

Meals have been arranged for the Andrews family for the next few days, but if you would love to help out, Jeana Bruse would love a phone call from you! (553.9927)

And, we know you are all So Excited to go hold and squish and kiss and squeeze those babies - but Anna is pretty tired right now, and needs to get her rest to build her strength up for the Big Adventure ahead of her (!!) so maybe wait just a little bit more :)  Thanks!!
