Dear Relief Society sisters,
This Saturday, April 30th is the day for our April Humanitarian project. Sam Gilbert has arranged for us to participate in the Earth Day tree planting project. The details are listed below. We hope you’ll be able to make it. They need all the hands they can get, so even if you haven’t signed up, just show up at 10 am at Smith Field Park (13400 S. 300 E.)

Tree Planting Project:
Day: April 30th
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Where: Smith Field Park (13400 E. 300 So.)
Extra Info: We are all to meet at Smith Field at 10:00 am. Smith Field is located at 13400 S. 300 E.
We will be planting 50 trees, placing mulch around the trees and cleaning up any trash in the area where the trees are.
We will have from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to do the project.
What Should I Bring?: Everyone should bring a shovel and gloves.
It is recommended to bring a hat for the sun and drinking water as well.
Sunscreen should be used appropriately as well.
Thank You & Lunch:
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Where: The Park School (12400 So. Pioneer Rd between 900 E. and 950 E. Fort Street - Map Is Attached)
Extra Info: Lunch will be provided from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Draper City Earth Day Celebration, which is taking place at the Park School (old City Hall).
The Park School is located just West of City Hall and two blocks West of Draper Park (12400 So. Pioneer Rd. between 900 E. and 950 E. Fort Street.)
We have 100 tickets for lunch which will be handed out at the tree planting project.
All of the children and teens participating will also be given a Certificate of Global Contribution and personally thanked by Draper City for their part in the tree planting project.
Where Should I Go To Pick Up Our Lunches?: Please present your ticket at the Kiwanis Booth at the Draper City Earth Day Celebration to receive your lunch.
It should be a wonderful project for us to do together with our families & a great opportunity to have the children participate in another wonderful community service project!
